On April 26, a new superhero movie skyrocketed the box offices again.

“Avengers: Endgame,” according to some people, is one of the greatest Avengers movies of all-time. Thanos, the mad titan, has snapped his fingers and half of the universe has turned into ashes.

This movie will also be the final movie where we see the first six avengers together. Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye have reunited once more to defeat Thanos. Some new superheroes have joined the original six avengers to ght Thanos. The new superheroes are, Captain Marvel, Ant Man, and Rocket (the only surviving guardian). A sidekick joined the fight as well, War Machine, (the only surviving sidekick).

Millions of people were excited to see this new film, and how it can affect the future of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). In my opinion, I think the movie has the perfect closure of the original six Avengers and start with a new era of superheroes.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, 424 reviews were counted had 95 percent of the critics liked the movie. Rotten Tomatoes also recorded the audience score and 90 percent of the people loved it.

“Avengers: Endgame” is currently breaking the box of ce with $427,099,795 in domestic total as of April 30. The foreign total was $1,054,000,000, and counting. Adding them together makes it a worldwide gross of $1,481,099,795.

During opening weekend, the domestic summary was $357,115,007 in total. If the numbers keep going up, it could dethrone “Avatar” with $3 billion at the box office. It is also on the pace to be the first $1 billion domestic grosser in initial release.

William Blanchi ’21, said, “I think ‘Avengers: Endgame’ should surpass ‘Avatar’ as number 1 and the MCU deserves all the recognition off the hardships and work they went through.” To people who haven’t watched “Endgame” yet, get to it. Try to avoid spoilers as much as you can!
