PoBoys Kitchen, located at Potrero Hill, is a Cajun restaurant that serves New Orleans Creole food. At first glance, the restaurant drew me with inviting colorful shades of red, orange, and blue. From the decorations to the floral table covers, this ambiance brought me right back to Louisiana. After looking through their broad menu, I ordered their Mac and Cheese.
The courteous server warned me to be careful after he brought a hot, black skillet full of mac and cheese. It took quite a few tries to be able to actually enjoy a bite of it without burning my mouth. After a few bites I realized how delicious it was; the cheese and pasta came together in perfect harmony.
The food was reasonably priced with the generous portion size and skillet served pasta. The seasoning was wonderful, the cheese was tasty, and the pasta was well cooked. The Mac and cheese lacked simplicity; there were too many flavors put together at once. I would definitely come back again, but I would try a different dish from the menu.
