Some new changes have come along with this new school year including counselor David Canales’ selection as the house of Russi’s new provincial.
Students and faculty alike roared with excitement once he appeared on stage, rallying Russi.
Fellow counselor Vanessa Vincent expressed, “He brought enthusiasm for the house system and being a part of Russi.”
Vincent added that Canales was, “the perfect choice and exactly what the house of Russi needed.”
This enthusiasm begs the question: will Russi have a chance at winning this year’s cup?
Russi’s new leader said, “It’s Russi or nobody” and “I wear green in me, not on me.”
Canales spoke about wanting to step up and contribute more, not for himself, but for the students.
While heading up many things like R-Time, parliament, Crusader Call, and the house games, Canales does so with grace and enthusiasm, always wearing a smile on his face and truly showing that he is in it to win it for his house.
With this new provincial change, students can expect to see the energy and excitement shift in the house of Russi.
Graydon Gambino ’26 shared, “The amount of energy he brings to the table is enough to make anyone want to participate in activities.”
Gambino added, “If anyone can help Russi rise up, it’s Mr. Canales!”
