Caitlin Dowd ’25 is a staff reporter for The Crusader. Caitlin is a part of the girls soccer team and N.H.S. She is also a part of the Knights of Riordan. She also loves to row and hike outside of school. Caitlin is a new reporter and joined Journalism to learn more about it and become a better writer.

In Joshua Tree National Park in California, where two desert ecosystems – the Mojave and the Colorado – meet to create this unique area, plants and animals not only live, but thrive in temperatures as high as 118 degrees for the area. According to Climate.gov, “The year 2023 was the warmest year since global records began in 1850.”
