Brandon Vargas ’20, Copy Editor
Brandon Vargas ’20 is the senior Copy Editor on The Crusader staff. He has been a part of the staff since
his freshman year, writing countless articles and interviewing several individuals within and outside of
the Riordan community. Brandon was introduced to the Journalism program by his friend, Steven, who is
currently the Editor-in-Chief. Brandon loves being a part of the staff because it allows him to express his
dedication to the Riordan community by providing information that caters to the entire school population.
Brandon has particularly found favor in Campus News stories, and has covered some of Riordan’s major
changes over the past years.
On campus, Brandon is a member of the LIFE Team, the Knights of Riordan, and the Philippine
American Culture Club. Brandon loves to play and watch baseball, and does his best to make Riordan a
better place.
Brandon’s favorite story is his report on Riordan’s transition to a new grading system. Arguably one of the most controversial transitions going into the 2019-2020 school year, Brandon is proud of the work he accomplished to provide the information to the community.
